Lost SSH Authentication

Posted by acts268 on June 8th 2011

When we connect through SSH-X (GUI) and the team we connect what we format or change it, when we try to connect again we displayed the following error:

@ WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED! @

IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOMEONE IS DOING SOMETHING NASTY!

Someone eavesdropping on you Could be right now (man-in-the-middle attack)!

It is possible Also That the RSA host key has just been changed.

The fingerprint for the RSA key sent by the remote host is

48:cb:02:d0:dd:42:17:90:e9:42:20:86:6f:a5:c2:ba.

Please contact your system administrator.

It is because although we place him the same name and same credentials IP has changed, to fix what we have to do is:

Edit the file:

.ssh / known_hosts

and delete the line containing the previous credential (In this case our team is called server9 and our IP is 192.168.0.109:

server9,192.168.0.109 ssh-rsa AAAAB3NzaC1yc2EAAAABIwAAAQEAu0oRv8ra3NvPkTwtE2tkA5VkvEu+0pP8Uj/xbIVoIMEaA9vPmy93YQxGluYuFwDFj4zuA+2TN5dkON3nhhczPhN3mkNtBf0HpUsIpyL0KYE8pkMkuqHPuGaDOxAqpyistSge2bvAZODudi3ehpspPz52Cnmb2mKEfcVJZkp43VEXXwV/Pxtz/HsfUAzWgs5NjIQ14I337eVHKePZ/W2BhrD6v5Oqtd344X9gXe07u9kQv7ml3qha1wurjkLQ9BcJ4vx25gj2q4kmimeATJ8pAaMP8pWhNuE8I+FindsWqN/0qfugSXSE+wsnyrVNQVRWgsYgDbaXROV+/KvTKB9XOw

We try to connect again:

[[Email protected] ~] # ssh -X server9

The authenticity of host 'server9 (192.168.0.109)' can not be established.

RSA key fingerprint is 48:cb:02:d0:dd:42:17:90:e9:42:20:86:6f:a5:c2:ba.

Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes / no)? And it is

Warning: Permanently added 'server9,192.168.0.109' (RSA) to the list of known hosts.

/ Usr / bin / xauth: creating new authority file /root/.Xauthority

By doing this you add a new credential to the file .ssh / known_hosts allowing us to connect properly.

Disable Windows 6 IPv2008, 7 and Vista

Posted by acts268 on June 3rd 2011

IPv6 To disable any of these operating systems we have to make a small change in the Windows registry through regedit tool:

We need to create a new value in the following path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SYSTEM / CurrentControlSet / Services / Tcpip6 / Parameters /

Parameters folder create a new key of type DWORD and put bits 32 Name Disabled Components then press the right mouse button, modify and assign the value FF.

This basically helps us because most of us use network traffic and IPv4 IPv6 active but we have no use, it also disables usually happens because sometimes we have is network traffic through a firewall that monitors traffic only passing through the IPv4 leaving a large hole in the protocol security IPv6.

Error in file .Xauthority

Posted by acts268 on June 1st 2011

When we connect through SSH X11 sometimes we lose the right access to our account:

Error in locking authority file /home/micuenta/.Xauthority

The solution is:

Delete the following files:

rm .Xauthority
rm: remove empty file `regulate .Xauthority '? Y

rm .Xauthority-c
rm: remove empty file `regulate .Xauthority-c '? Y

rm .Xauthority-l
rm: remove empty file `regulate .Xauthority-l '? Y

When we again will create loguemos again allowing authentication work properly:

/ Usr / bin / xauth: creating new authority file /home/micuenta/.Xauthority
