2003 problem when opening Outlook xls, pdf, pps or doc attachments.

Posted by Alex Nalda 12th on December 2011

The problem occurs when trying to open an attachment with the following error:

Error:

You can not create file: * .pdf (or * .xls, * .doc, * pps). Click Right-click the folder where you want to create the file and choose Properties from the context menu to check your permissions on that folder

Solution:

1.Has entering the regedit (Start / Run and type regedit)

2.Sigue this route often change slightly depending on the operating system

HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Microsoft / Office / (directory with the version number of either Outlook or 10.0 9.0 or ... etc, that can look at by clicking Help Microsoft Office and the question mark) / Outlook / Security /

3.En Security is a value called OutlookSecureTempFolder ....

4.Da double click and copy the path

"" "C: \ Documents and Settings \ User \ Local Settings \ Temporary Internet Files \ OLK8 \" "" (often changes)

5.Pega the path in the explorer and then you walk into the temporary folder outlook and ready, just delete all content, since the idea is that this folder is always available to keep their temporary outlook.

Recommendation ... ..there one of two to not saturating your outlook again.

1.Administra that folder you opened (temporary outlook)

2.Cada Once you have an attached ... save it first to disk and then open it. In this way you avoid that folder is supersaturated.

Greetings.

Error Out of Office Assistant

Posted by jl on November 23 2011rd

Hello everyone

There are times when the user attempt to set the Out of Office Assistant Outlook has encountered the following error, "command not available. See the program documentation about how to use this extension "

To resolve this issue must go to regedit the computer and see if the following registry key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Office \ 11.0 \ Outlook \ Resiliency

 If this simply rename

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Office \ 11.0 \ Outlook \ Resiliency_old

Close regedit and restart Outlook and you can access the Out of Office Assistant

This example is for the 2003 version of Outlook, if you have other versions change the registry key, and not be 11, and have to look for the corresponding with your version of Outlook

Until next time

a greeting

PowerPoint crashes solution 2007

Posted by Xaus Xavier Nadal 16th on November 2011

Good,

A colleague's blog (Albert Fortes) long ago found the solution to some crashes relating to certain actions 2007 working with PowerPoint and other office on a blog of a Russian IT community.

These errors occur when you have the KB966311 patch or service pack installed 2 2007 Office.

What happens is that hangs PowerPoint when you move, resize or graphics adjust and Powerpoint "peta" when you perform certain actions as a graph in a presentation and pressing the arrow keys, it hangs, if there are multiple presentations using graphics to pete while maybe PowerPoint.

To solve all these problems only you you must download the following patch: KB2028572

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2028572

I hope you will help.
