In this article we will show how installing vCenter Server 5.1 no need for a Windows operating system as well save base server license the Windows operating system since this appliance is mounted on Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 (64-bit) and configured with 2 vCPU and 8 GB of RAM. (Relax, then modify the virtual machine to put fewer resources as they usually have not all 8 GB free RAM for machines of this type ..)

The system is fully functional as in the Windows-based version, and its installation is quite simple, if you read on you will see that with a series of simple steps instalaréis the product without problems. It is not necessary to have knowledge of Linux, as you can see we are not going to enter or Linux shell mode.

As set Vmotion in VMware ESXi without fear

Posted by Xaus Xavier Nadal on October 22nd 2012

vMotionvSphere5Vmotion VMware is a technology that enables the migration of virtual machines from one ESXi host to another host without losing service.

What we will show in this article is how to configure Vmotion in 2 ESXi hosts connected together by a dedicated network cable.

2 really recommend using network cables since in vSphere 5 you can use multiple network connections to load the VMkernel swing between the 2 cards and much reduced time migration of a virtual machine from one host to the other. (Really though migration between hosts is very fast, we will see the end of the article when you move a hot machine).

Requirements:

Having a Virtual Center.

2 have physical servers with ESXi installed.

Having a Gigabit network cable to connect from one server to another directly.

Solve problems with ESX and Network Interface

Posted by Xaus Xavier Nadal 1st on April 2011

Good MegaCracks.

Sometimes when making changes to the configuration of network interfaces ESX level we may lose communication with the environment "console" from our vSphere Client, we may lose even ping.

To solve this problem one possible solution is:

1. - Download putty from the following link:

http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html

2. - Connect to a virtual server hosted on the physical server that you just lost the connection.

3. - Copy the file putty.exe to this virtual server.

4. - Connect using putty the ip address of ESX server management.

5. - Login with root credentials.

6. - Run the command service network start

7. - Check now have access from vSphere Client.

See you soon. Receive Articles via twitter by clicking on the chick at the top of the blog.
