Introduction and installation of Windows Server Core Version 2008 R2

Let's start with the installation:

This team will install on a virtual machine, but the process is exactly the same for a physical machine.

This machine will have 512 MB of RAM (256MB is sufficient if physical 384MB if virtual), 8 GB HDD (Needs a minimum of 4886 MB).

Introducing the Windows Server CD 2008 R2 in the drive and boot the computer.


Select the language and keyboard settings and click on Next.


click on Install now.


Select the version R2008 2 Windows Server Standard (Server Core Installation).


We mark I accept the license terms and click on Next.


click on Custom (advanced).


click on Next.


click on OKAY.


Enter a password and click on ->


Well, we have installed Windows server core.
